The Benson Adeyemi Foundation (BAF) continues to make strides in providing essential healthcare services to underserved communities, most recently by partnering with the Rotary Club of Osogbo Central during the club’s 10th investiture ceremony. The event, which celebrated the installation of RTN. Mutiyat Oyediran as the club’s 10th and first female president, also included a medical outreach sponsored by BAF.

At the event held in Osogbo, the capital of Osun State, RTN. Oyediran praised the Benson Adeyemi Foundation for its ongoing commitment to improving community health. The outreach provided free medical checkups, including blood pressure and blood sugar tests, to the residents, reflecting the Foundation’s mission to ensure that everyone has access to quality healthcare.

“The medical outreach was sponsored by Rotarian Benson Adeyemi, one of our awardees and a member of the club. He has consistently supported such initiatives in the past and continues to do so,” said RTN. Oyediran. She highlighted the Rotary Club’s dedication to giving back to society and noted that this partnership with BAF exemplifies their shared commitment to societal welfare.

Oluwafikayo Benson, the Executive Director of BAF and Director of Global Goals at the United Nations Association USA Chicago, reaffirmed his dedication to ensuring access to healthcare for all. He emphasized the importance of the partnership with the Rotary Club of Osogbo Central, noting that the medical outreach was a key part of the club’s investiture event.

“The focus of this medical outreach is to collaborate with the Rotary Club of Osogbo Central during their investiture, as they install their 10th president and first female president. We are here to support them by offering medical checkups, including blood pressure and blood sugar tests, to the community,” Benson stated.

Beyond the immediate outreach, Benson also revealed the Foundation’s plans to expand its healthcare initiatives, particularly for individuals suffering from mental illness. “We plan to go into the streets, provide care for people with mental illness, check them into hospitals, cover their medical bills, and reintegrate them back into society with the help of our partners. We also aim to offer them scholarship schemes,” he added.

This collaboration between BAF and the Rotary Club of Osogbo Central is a testament to the power of partnerships in addressing critical healthcare needs and improving the lives of those in underserved communities.
